Course Overview
This is a two-year course leading to the Preliminary for Schools examination. The course is carefully planned out so that ample time is available for exam preparation. It also provides comprehensive skills development with a rich range of tasks to actively develop students’ reading, listening, speaking and writing skills. Each unit leads to a project that encourages learner autonomy and provides opportunities for students to practice the four C’s of 21st Century skills: critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. Authentic and informative National Geographic content helps students connect with their world as they transition from their teens into adulthood.
Leaning Objectives
To expose students to the four skills and provide engaging materials that support their learning. Together English emphasizes a strong focus on speaking topics essential for real-life communication and success in exams. Additionally, plenty of opportunities for self-study and home learning are provided. Students are guided from the outset to become autonomous learners. They will learn to use the four C’s of 21st Century skills to help them prepare for success in school as well as workplace in the future.

Course Duration
September – June
Our lessons are conducted twice a week, with each session lasting 70 minutes. During the last year of the course additional practice time is added to cover the mock exams.
Course Format
The lessons are conducted in a classroom setting, but students at this level may also participate via Zoom if they cannot attend due to illness.
Prerequisites
Before registering for this course, students are required to:
- Take a placement test corresponding to their level.
- Attend an interview session.
- Complete and submit all necessary forms.
These prerequisites ensure that students are appropriately placed and prepared for their educational journey with us.
Educators
Our teachers possess a minimum qualification of a B.A. in English and undergo ongoing training, including programs by the British Council and Cambridge University. The team is carefully selected for high expertise, ensuring excellence. Parents can expect to foster a productive and friendly relationship with their child’s teacher, who keeps them consistently informed and updated.
Method of Assessment
In a fast-paced syllabus with very concrete aims for achievement, recycling and language review are essential. We give great importance to these aspects of language learning through systematic recycling of all core vocabulary and grammar which is revised in a variety of different contexts. Students’ performance is assessed through vocabulary tests, unit tests and progress tests. At the end of the academic year, there is an end-of-year test (TET Together English Test) used to report on the students’ overall progress of the course level. Students will also be prepared for the Preliminary for Schools exam and during the course they will do five mock tests to evaluate their performance and ability in the exam. All results are closely monitored by both the centre and the parents.
At the end of the academic year, students will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment from Together English Language Centre. The TET certificate will be endorsed by our Academic Director.
