We are excited that you have considered joining us on this exciting learning journey.

Course Overview

Our Flyers course helps young learners explore the world and develop essential life skills and exam results. It features a comprehensive grammar and vocabulary syllabus, along with a collaborative learning approach. Students learn broader life skills while focusing on exam success. The course introduces a modern, vibrant, and collaborative learning approach. Students work together on fun activities to practice the four C’s of 21st Century skills: critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. They watch interesting videos and stories from around the world, bringing international culture alive and fostering global citizenship.

The Flyers syllabus aligns with the Cambridge English Qualifications for Schools and students will be ready to sit the A2 Flyers by the end of the academic year.

Leaning Objectives

The vocabulary in this course has been selected for its frequency, usefulness, and relevance to the age group. By the end of the course, students will be able to describe people, their city, describe jobs and their duties, food and recipes, festivals, museums, schools, and trips. The grammar taught complements the topics to help them build all four skills around them and do projects to use the language in practical ways.

Target Audience

Sixth-grade primary school pupils.

The suitability of younger or older students for this level is always at the discretion of the academic director.

Course Duration

September – June

Our lessons are conducted twice a week, with each session lasting 70 minutes.

Course Format

The lessons are conducted in a classroom setting, but students at this level may also participate via Zoom if they cannot attend due to illness.

Prerequisites

Before registering for this course, students are required to:

  • Take a placement test corresponding to their level.
  • Attend an interview session.
  • Complete and submit all necessary forms.

These prerequisites ensure that students are appropriately placed and prepared for their educational journey with us.

English educators

Educators

Our teachers possess a minimum qualification of a B.A. in English and undergo ongoing training, including programs by the British Council and Cambridge University. The team is carefully selected for high expertise, ensuring excellence. Parents can expect to foster a productive and friendly relationship with their child’s teacher, who keeps them consistently informed and updated.

Method of Assessment

Each unit provides self-evaluation sections which encourage students to look back through the unit and decide how well they meet each lesson objective. Self-evaluation is useful to develop learner autonomy. Their performance is also assessed through vocabulary tests, unit tests and progress tests. At the end of the academic year, there is an end-of-year test (TET Together English Test)  used to report on the students’ overall progress of the course level. Students will also be prepared for the A2 Cambridge Flyers exam and during the course and will do four mock tests to evaluate their performance and ability in the exam.

At the end of the academic year, students will be awarded a Certificate of Attainment from Together English Language Centre. The TET certificate will be endorsed by our Academic Director.
